1. Legal guarantees (European Union)

Legal guarantee of conformity (EU)

In accordance with Articles L.217-3 et seq. of the Consumer Code, all products sold are covered by the legal guarantee of conformity.

  • Duration : 2 years from the date of delivery of the goods
  • Cover : non-conformity existing at the time of delivery
  • Possible solutions :
  • repair or replacement of the product
  • otherwise, price reduction or refund
  • Expenses : no charge to the consumer

The legal guarantee of conformity applies. independently from any commercial warranty.

Warranty against hidden defects

In accordance with Articles 1641 to 1649 of the Civil Code, you may take action in the event of hidden defect rendering the product unfit for use.

You can then choose between:

  • the cancellation of the sale (refund), or
  • a price reduction.

2. Manufacturer's commercial warranties

Some brands offer a commercial warranty, optional and separate from legal warranties.

Mars Hydro

Mars Hydro Official Policy:

  • LED lamps (FC, FC-E, TS, SP series) : commercial warranty 5 years
  • First 12 months: full coverage
  • Years 2 to 5: limited coverage (parts, specific conditions)
  • Fans, controllers, smart power strips : 2 years
  • Tents, non-electrical accessories : 1 year

Terms and Conditions Proof of purchase, order number, photos of the defect.

Spider Farmer

Spider Farmer's official policy:

  • Horticultural LED lamps : commercial warranty 5 years
  • Electronic controllers and accessories : 2 years
  • Grow tents : return without reason possible within 30 days (terms and conditions), limited commercial warranty up to 6 months.

3. Warranty claim procedure

CHILLROAD acts as authorized intermediaries between the customer and the manufacturer when the manufacturer's commercial warranty applies.

Mandatory information

Please provide:

  • order number
  • product concerned (exact model)
  • date of receipt
  • precise description of the problem
  • photos of the defect
  • photo of the label or serial number (if applicable)

Treatment

Depending on the applicable framework (legal warranty or manufacturer's warranty), the solution may be:

  • repair
  • replacement
  • supply of parts
  • refund (if no other solution is possible)

4. Standard exclusions

The following situations are generally not covered by the warranties:

  • normal wear and tear
  • improper use or incorrect assembly
  • unauthorized changes
  • damage caused by an unsuitable environment
  • impacts, falls, negligence

No. All requests must first go through CHILLROAD (approved intermediaries).
